Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how QualiPhone ("we") collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you use our platform. We take a minimal-collection approach: we only collect what is required to sell you a phone, deliver it safely, honour the warranty, and comply with Egyptian law.

Account data (name, email, phone number, hashed password). Transactional data (orders, IMEIs of devices we sell you, delivery addresses). Device and log data (IP address, user agent, session events) for security and fraud prevention. We do not collect more than the order, the warranty, and basic platform safety require.

To operate the platform — show you listings, process orders, route deliveries. To verify identities and prevent fraud. To send transactional communications (order status, delivery updates, password resets) by email and WhatsApp/SMS. To improve the product through aggregated, de-identified analytics. We do not sell your personal data. Ever.

Logistics partners receive the name, phone, and delivery address required to deliver an order. Payment and payout providers receive the minimum data needed to process a transaction. Email and messaging providers (Resend, WhatsApp Cloud API, SMS Misr) receive the recipient contact and the message content. Regulators and law enforcement receive data only when legally compelled.

Account data is retained for as long as your account is active. Transactional records are retained for the period required by Egyptian tax and commercial law. Security logs are retained for up to 12 months. On account deletion, personal data is removed except where retention is legally required.

Passwords are hashed with bcrypt. Reset tokens are single-use and short-lived. Sensitive fields (IMEIs, contact info) are redacted from error telemetry before being sent to our monitoring provider. Traffic is served over HTTPS. We follow industry-standard practice, but no system is perfectly secure — report any suspected vulnerability to security@qualiphone.com.

We use a small number of strictly necessary cookies for authentication and session management, plus local storage for cart state and language preference. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

You can access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data by emailing privacy@qualiphone.com. You can change your preferred language and communication locale from your profile. You can opt out of non-transactional communications at any time.

QualiPhone is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will remove it.

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced on the site and, where appropriate, notified via email. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the most recent update.
